Pre-care instructions to help clients achieve the best results for semi-permanent makeup:

1. **Avoid Blood Thinners:** Refrain from consuming blood-thinning medications or supplements (aspirin, fish oil, etc.) for at least one week before the appointment to minimize bleeding and improve pigment retention.

2. **No Alcohol or Caffeine:** Limit alcohol and caffeine intake 24 hours before the procedure to reduce sensitivity and the risk of bleeding during the treatment.

3. **Skip Facial Treatments:** Avoid facial treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser procedures for at least two weeks before the appointment to ensure the skin is in optimal condition.

4. **Inform About Medications:** Disclose any medications or topical products being used, as certain medications can affect the outcome. Consultation with a healthcare professional may be necessary.

5. **No Sunburn:** Ensure the skin in the treatment area is not sunburned. Postpone the appointment if significant sun exposure has occurred recently.

6. **No Botox or Fillers:** If considering Botox or dermal fillers, it's advisable to schedule these treatments after semi-permanent makeup to avoid any potential distortion of the tattooed area.

7. **Avoid Retinoids and Acids:** Discontinue the use of retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) on the treatment area at least one week prior to the appointment.

8. **Hydrate Well:** Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the appointment to ensure well-hydrated skin, which can aid in the healing process.

9. **Avoid Excessive Exercise:** Refrain from intense exercise or sweating on the day of the procedure to minimize the risk of infection and pigment displacement.

10. **Clean Face:** Come to the appointment with a clean face, free from makeup, moisturizers, and sunscreen.

By following these pre-care instructions, clients can contribute to an optimal canvas for the semi-permanent makeup procedure and enhance the longevity of the results.
